Hospital Privileges
Hospital credentialing boards perform extensive background checks and will not allow unqualified physicians to have admitting or operating privileges in their facilities. A well qualified surgeon should always have hospital privileges to perform the specific facial plastic procedure(s) in which are you are interested, even though the procedure may be performed in an office setting. For instance, Dr. Naficy has privileges for all facial plastic surgery procedures at all major Seattle area hospitals.
In contrast, a dermatologist or ophthalmologist who offers facelift surgery will only be able to do so by performing the surgery in his or her own back office. Make sure to ask whether your doctor has hospital privileges for the procedures you are considering!
Dr. Naficy has full credentials to perform facial plastic surgery in the following hospitals:
- Evergreen Hospital
- Overlake Hospital
- Swedish Hospital
- Seattle Surgery Center
- Evergreen Surgery Center
- University of Washington Medical Center
